Hyundai, Kia report strong performances in the U.S. for August

South Korean carmakers saw strong sales in the U.S. market for the second month in a row in August.

Hyundai Motor America sold 88-thousand-5-hundred-23 vehicles last month up 12 percent on year and an all-time record for August.

Kia America also witnessed a surge in sales with slightly over 83-thousand vehicles up over 10 percent on year and also a monthly record.

Electric vehicles drove up the stellar sales of both automakers.
