The rain clouds have moved to the southeast and are bringing rain to the Jeolla-do and Gyeongsangbuk-do provinces this morning
with 5 to 60 millimeters expected and Jeju will get 10 to 60 millimeters along with strong winds and thunderstorms.
The rest of the central areas, including Gangwon-do, could see 5 to 20 millimeters of rainfall through this evening.
Clouds kept the temperatures rather on a cooler side in the capital region, but highs will rise fast again under sunny skies.
Meanwhile, heatwave advisories are still in place for the southern regions and Jeju.
Muggy air will push the feels-like temperature during the day with a high of 32 degrees in Daegu, Busan and Jeju.
Seoul also tops out at 32 degrees after a comfortable morning temperature.
We are looking at frequent showers this week across Korea, then next week will start to feel more like September.
