It almost felt like we had returned to mid-summer over the weekend.

A heatwave warning remains in place across Korea.

Daytime highs in Seoul soared to nearly 35 degrees yesterday.

AND It's another active weather day across the country.

Light rain has already started this morning in parts of Incheon and Chungcheongnam-do Province, and it will spread across the central region and Jeolla-do as the day goes on.

By tonight, the capital region could be hit with torrential downpours — 30 to 50 millimeters of rain an hour.

Incheon and northern Gyeonggi-do could see over 100 millimeters.

Seoul and the rest of the central region may receive up to 80 millimeters.

Even with the rain, the heat continues.

Seoul will get up to 32 degrees, Daegu at 35 degrees.

We expect frequent rain across Korea through the weekend, with the heat wave finally starting to lose some steam.
