The largest video-games trade fair in the world prepares to open to the public

Gamescom 2025, the world's largest video games trade fair, has officially kicked off in Cologne, Germany.

The event is open to the public starting Thursday at the Koelnmesse exhibition center, after it opened to media and trade visitors the day before.

This year, Gamescom features a record 1,500 exhibitors from around the globe and is expected to attract over 300,000 attendees.

Visitors will have the chance to explore game demos, attend panel discussions, and celebrate gaming culture.

Gamescom runs until August 24.
