The Trump administration's reciprocal tariffs have taken effect, as of Thursday midnight Eastern Time in the U.S., and 1 PM here in Seoul.
The duties range from ten to 41 percent depending on the country.
South Korea, Japan and the European Union all face 15 percent tariffs on goods exported to the U.S.
Seoul sealed a deal with Washington last week in return for the country's commitment to a 350 billion U.S. dollar investment package.
