Sales of translated Korean books at stores overseas have surged following author Han Kang's winning of the Nobel Prize in Literature last year.
According to the Literature Translation Institute of Korea sales of literary works that it supported via translation and publication soared some 1-hundred-30-percent on year in 2024 to amount to around 1-point-2 million books.
International sales of Han Kang's 19 works rose five-fold to 1-hundred-50-thousand last year compared to 30-thousand in 2023.
