Hamas has agreed to release ten hostages amid ongoing efforts to put in place a ceasefire in Gaza.
The agreement was announced in a statement by the Palestinian militant group that added truce talks remain an uphill battle.
Among the sticking points Hamas pointed to the flow of humanitarian assistance pullout of Israeli troops from Gaza and a tangible pledge for lasting truce.
The current ceasefire negotiations are being mediated by the U.S., Qatar and Egypt and began this past weekend.
