The monsoon rains will take a brief break.

Other regions will see mostly cloudy skies.

Temperatures are set to rise again.

The capital will be much more bearable, hovering in the upper twenties, but those in Daegu need to brace for a scorcher with temperatures peaking at 34 degrees by Sunday!

High humidity will only make it feel more uncomfortable.

Even today feels like temperatures will be a couple of degrees higher than these numbers.

Seoul will reach 27 degrees, Daejeon 28, Gwangju at 29 degrees.

Looking ahead, monsoon rains will return to most parts of the country starting this weekend.

Rain will begin in the central region early Saturday morning, then expand to the southern regions by afternoon.

The Seoul metropolitan area can expect the rain to continue on and off into early next week.
