A Russian missile strike on Ukraine's Dnipropetrovsk region has killed at least 26 civilians and injured hundreds, in one of the most devastating attacks this week.
On Tuesday, around midday local time, a Russian ballistic missile attack hit the city of Dnipro and surrounding areas, including the town of Samar.
The strike struck a passenger train, schools, kindergartens, a hospital, and other civilian infrastructure.
Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, attending the NATO summit in The Hague, condemned the attack as a "message of terror and rejection of peace." He urged Western allies to impose tougher sanctions on Russia and supply additional military aid to Ukraine.
Russian drones and missiles have struck multiple regions this week, leaving a high civilian toll across Ukraine.
