South Korea's Minister of Trade Yeo Han-koo arrived in the United States on Sunday, to hold talks with Washington on trade.
Speaking to reporters upon arriving at Dulles International Airport, Yeo Han-koo said that it's difficult to predict whether the U.S. will extend the grace period for the reciprocal tariffs.
However, ahead of a meeting with U.S. trade officials set for Monday, he said he's "keeping all possibilities open."
Before departing for the U.S., Yeo said he would pursue a "national interest-based and pragmatic" approach in trade negotiations.
The grace period for reciprocal tariffs is set to end on July 8th.
