Pres. Lee unveils online "public communication platform" for direct democracy

President Lee Jae Myung has unveiled an online platform where people can directly propose policy ideas.

Taking to his Facebook account on Thursday, he said he hoped it could help realize the principle of people's sovereignty stated in the Constitution and serve as a platform for "direct democracy."

He asked the public to feel free to pitch their ideas on all areas that affect their lives, from the economy, social issues, diplomacy to culture, as he vowed to thoroughly review them in order for them to materialize.

He also asked the public to give proposals to officially name the platform.
