PPP selects new floor leader on Monday

The People Power Party elected third-term lawmaker Song Eon-seok as its new floor leader today.

Song's priority as floor leader is to address calls for party reform and to resolve internal conflict amid the impeachment of former president Yoon Suk Yeol.

Song announced "change and renewal are necessary" and a return to the past is "fundamentally wrong"

Meanwhile acting leader and floor leader of the Democratic Party Kim Byung-kee was at the Seoul National Cemetery to pay his respects before presiding over his first Supreme Council meeting.

Kim then sat down with National Assembly Speaker Woo Won‑shik .
