The Unification Ministry has reaffirmed its commitment to addressing North Korea's abductions of South Koreans while calling on their families to refrain from activities that may escalate cross-border tensions.
A senior official at the ministry highlighted the South Korean government's priority on protecting its people and acknowledged the pain of the families here.
The remarks were made after a civic group including family members of those abducted and detained by North Korea pledged to continue floating anti-North Korea leaflets into the regime.
