Cabinet approves three special prosecution bills, including martial law probe

Three high-profile special prosecution bills were passed during a Cabinet meeting presided over by President Lee Jae-myung earlier on this Tuesday morning.

The probes will focus on the martial law declaration by former President Yoon Suk Yeol, allegations against former First Lady Kim Keon-hee, and the death of a marine during flood relief operations in 2023.

These bills had been previously vetoed by the Yoon administration but are now set to take effect.
