On the diplomatic front.
President Lee Jae-myung and Japanese Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba have agreed to address geopolitical challenges within their trilateral framework with the U.S.
This is according to Presidential Spokesperson Kang Yu-jung following the two leaders' first phone call earlier on this Monday.
The 25-minute interaction also touched upon the importance of active communication between their governments and on plans to meet in person to discuss the direction of future bilateral ties as the two countries celebrate 60 years of diplomatic relations this year.
