The Korea Institute for International Economic Policy is conducting a feasibility review of tariff talks between Seoul and Washington.
The review follows a request by the Trade Ministry as the law here requires the government to carry out economic feasibility studies on newly sought trade deals.
Within the focus of this latest review are non-tariff barriers such as the beef and rice sectors among others.
Ultimately the task of hammering out a fresh trade partnership with the U.S. will fall on the shoulders of the next administration which will enter the top office on June 4th.
