U.S. Department of State bans travel to North Korea for 9th straight year

The U.S. State Department has extended its travel ban on North Korea for the ninth straight year.

Now this latest extension is set to take effect on September first.

It will reportedly remain in place until the end of August next year unless it is further extended or lifted amid threats to the safety of Americans.
