[Weather] Early summer warmth with strong UV rays

It feels pleasant right now, but by the afternoon, it's going to warm up quite a bit, possibly even feeling a little hot for some.

Here in Seoul, it will climb to around 25 degrees this afternoon.

Daegu and Gangneung could see temperatures soaring to near 30 degrees Celsius along with plenty of sunshine.

The sun will be quite strong today. We're expecting 'very high' levels for the UV index across most of the country, and ozone concentrations will likely reach 'unhealthy' levels, so be mindful of that if you're spending time outdoors.

Checking on daily highs for other regions, Gwangju will reach 27 degrees Celsius, Gyeongju a warmer 29 degrees this afternoon.

The capital area could have bad ultrafine dust levels in the first half of the day.

Looking ahead, we have rain in the forecast for Thursday. That rain brings down the highs to near norms. However, Jeju will see on-and-off rain from Thursday into Saturday.
