Donald Trump Jr., the eldest son of U.S. President Donald Trump, will hold private meetings with heads of major South Korean conglomerates on Wednesday.
While most of the meetings will be one-on-one, some group sessions are also on the agenda, with Trump Jr. expected to meet with roughly 20 business leaders.
The invitation for the two-day trip was facilitated by Shinsegae Group Chairman Chung Yong-jin, with whom Trump Jr. is known to have a close relationship.
This visit is drawing significant attention as it comes amid intensifying trade pressures from the U.S. government, but according to reports, Trump Jr. does not have any public meetings scheduled with South Korean politicians or government officials.
