S. Korea to send delegation to Pope Francis' funeral led by culture minister

Korea is sending a delegation to the funeral of Pope Francis, led by the country's culture minister.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that South Korea's ambassador to the Holy See and the president of the Catholic Lay Apostolate Council will join Minister Yu In-chon as part of the delegation attending the funeral.

Earlier in the day, Acting President Han Duck-soo visited the memorial altar set up at Myeongdong Cathedral to pay his respects, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs visited the Apostolic Nunciature to Korea to express condolences over Pope Francis' passing.
