President Trump says Zelenskyy will prolong war by rejecting Russian control of Crimea

U.S. President Donald Trump slammed Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on Wednesday, accusing him of prolonging the war with Russia.

Trump took to his Truth Social platform, after the Ukrainian leader rejected a proposal to accept Russia's 2014 annexation of Crimea.

Calling Zelenskyy's refusal "inflammatory," Trump said such remarks are harmful for peace talks with Russia, and will only "prolong" the "killing field."

Trump also called on Zelenskyy to change his position, saying that they're close to reaching a deal.
