Russian President Vladimir Putin announced on Monday that fighting has resumed after the Ukraine conflict's Easter ceasefire came to an end.
According to Russia's state-run TASS, Putin met with local reporters to give the update, but added he would consider Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy's proposal to halt drone and missile strikes on civilian facilities for 30 days.
Putin added that during the Easter ceasefire, Ukrainian forces committed nearly 5-thousand ceasefire violations, but noted that "overall, enemy combat activity decreased," something he said he welcomed.
