Simone Biles and Mondo Duplantis win Laureus World Sports Awards

At the 2025 Laureus World Sports Awards held in Madrid on Monday local time, gymnast Simone Biles and pole vaulter Mondo Duplantis were honored as Sportswoman and Sportsman of the year.

Biles won her fourth Laureus title, matching Tennis star Serena Williams' record, following her outstanding performance at the Paris Olympics, where the American earned three gold medals and one silver.

Duplantis, who competes for Sweden, received his first Laureus award after winning his second Olympic gold and breaking his own pole vault record twice in 2024.
