[Weather] Rainy and windy nationwide, summer-level soaking in south coast and Jeju

Unlike the clear skies we saw yesterday, today is shaping up to be quite wet and windy nationwide.

The rain that was mainly concentrated over the western parts of the country have spread to all regions this morning.

This rain will be heavy for the southern coast and Jeju with intense downpours of 10 to 30 millimeters per hour. Jeju could see over 120 millimeters, and the south coast could get up to 80 millimeters. The central regions, including Seoul, are looking at 10 to 50 millimeters.

We're also expecting strong winds across the country. Jeju, in particular, is under a strong wind AND heavy rain advisory.

Afternoon highs will go down 3 to 8 degrees lower today, topping out at 21 degrees in the capital, Daegu and Gwangju both seeing highs of 20 degrees.

This widespread rain should ease off by tonight, with only the eastern coastal areas seeing some lingering showers into tomorrow morning. Stay safe and dry out there.
