Samsung had most shipments of smartphones in Q1, beating Apple

Samsung Electronics ranked number one in smartphone shipments for the first quarter of this year.

According to Counterpoint Research Samsung's shipments amounted to 61 million units surpassing Apple's by 3 million units.

In terms of market share Samsung also led with 20 percent slightly ahead of Apple's 19 percent.

Pundits are linking this performance to the Galaxy S25 series.
