Movies and dramas from South Korea are the second most-watched content on Netflix worldwide.
According to global media analytics firm Ampere on Tuesday, Korean content has maintained the number two position behind the U.S. since 2023, accounting for nearly 10 percent of global viewership on the platform.
The report said strong content production capabilities and licensing strategies were key factors behind the success.
It also cited shows, including Squid Game and Culinary Class Wars, as standout examples.
The UK and Japan followed in 3rd and 4th place on the list.
