S. Korea, U.S. hold joint air drills involving B-1B strategic bomber

South Korea and the U.S. conducted an air drill over the peninsula today involving a U.S. B-1B strategic bomber.

This is the second time that the Defense Ministry has made public a joint air drill involving the B-1B since the start of the second Trump administration.

The exercise also mobilized South Korea's F-35A fighter jets and U.S. F-16s and sought to showcase their extended deterrence capabilities against North Korea's evolving nuclear and missile threats.

Today's training also coincides with North Korea's so-called "Day of the Sun" the birthday of its late founder Kim Il-sung.
