S. Korea's Foreign Ministry calls in senior Japanese diplomat over Tokyo's false territorial claims over Dokdo

The Foreign Ministry has lodged a protest against Japan's false claim over South Korea's Dokdo Island.

The protest follows Japan laying claim to Dokyo in its diplomatic bluebook released on this Tuesday.

In response the Foreign Ministry called in Taisuke Mibae deputy head of mission at the Japanese Embassy here in Seoul to share its displeasure.

In a separate statement the ministry also stressed that Dokdo is South Korean territory historically geographically and under international law and that the government would respond firmly to any false claim over Dokdo.
