Trump confirms communication with North Korea, hints at taking action "at some point"

U.S. President Donald Trump has hinted at further engagement with North Korea, confirming ongoing communication with leader Kim Jong-un.

Speaking to reporters at the White House on Monday, Trump said he has a "very good relationship" with Kim, despite a rocky start during his first term.

He said, "there is communication," although he didn't clarify whether this was through direct talks with Kim or via aides.

Trump described North Korea as "a big nuclear nation" and called Kim "a very smart guy".

He also said his administration will likely take some action at "some point", but offered no specifics.
