South Korea's economy rebounded in February, with production, consumption, and investment all increasing compared to the previous month.
According to Statistics Korea on Monday, the overall industrial output saw an increase of point-6 percent compared to the month before, largely due to gains in the service and service and mining industries.
The construction industry returned to an upward trend for the first time in seven months.
Retail consumption was up 1.5%, and facility investment jumped by a huge 18.7%.
An official from Statistics Korea attributed the overall increase to a base effect resulting from a decline in the previous month, caused by fewer working days due to a long Lunar New Year holiday.
