Exports expanded during the first 20 days of March to post 35.5 billion U.S. dollars.
According to the Korea Customs Service the latest amount is a surge of 4.5 percent on year and comes in light of strong shipments of ships and semiconductors and greater exports to markets in the U.S., EU and Vietnam.
Meanwhile also on this Friday the Trade Ministry hosted talks on export trends and pledged prompt action to address the broader ripple effects of U.S. tariffs on steel and aluminium imports into its market.
