The Korean Cultural Center Library in New York has clinched one of the world's top three design awards.
According to the Culture Ministry the library has won the "2025 iF Design Award" in the public interiors category for its unique structure inspired by Korea's traditional wooden architecture the hanok.
The library's bookshelves feature dancheong, the colorful decorative patterns of hanok, highlighting the beauty of Korean heritage.
The library, which opened last June, houses some 10,000 books about Korea.
