The EU is responding to high U.S. tariffs on steel and aluminum products, by announcing a reduction in steel and aluminum imports.
According to European Commission Vice-President Stéphane Séjourné on Wednesday, the EU will reduce steel and aluminum imports by up to 15 percent starting April 1st.
This comes amid concerns that the Trump administration's 25 percent steel tariff will lead to steel exporters flooding the European market.
The move is expected to impact South Korean steel exporters, as the fourth-largest economy in Asia ranks third among all EU imports.
