Speed skater Choi Min-jeong garnered gold in the women's one-thousand-five-hundred meter race at the 2025 World Championships.

On Sunday in Beijing Choi crossed the finish line first at two minutes twenty-seven point one-three-six seconds.

She now also qualifies for the 2026 Winter Olympics.

Meanwhile also in the same event Kim Gil-li won the bronze medal.
