The global spot gold price set a new all-time high on Thursday as uncertainty lingers over U.S. President Donald Trump's trade policies.
The April gold futures closing spot price on the New York Mercantile Exchange rose one-point-five percent from the previous day, to close at two-thousand-991-dollars-and-30 cents per ounce as investors sought safer assets.
The spot gold price rose around 14 percent this year, following a 27-percent surge in 2024.
