The South Korean stock market closed lower on Tuesday, influenced by the sharp decline in the U.S. stock market.
The benchmark KOSPI dropped 1-point-28-percent to close the day's session at some 2-thousand-5-hundred-37.
Meanwhile, the tech-heavy KOSDAQ slightly fell zero-point-6-percent closing at over 7-hundred-21.
The Korean won also weakened against the U.S. dollar with the exchange rate ending at around 1-thousand-4-hundred-58 won against the greenback.
