Police investigating the deaths of Oscar-winning actor Gene Hackman and his wife, Betsy Arakawa, said Thursday that preliminary autopsy results showed no signs of trauma or foul play.

However, authorities have yet to determine the exact cause of death and have not ruled out the possibility of criminal involvement.

The 95-year-old actor and his 65-year-old wife were found dead alongside their dog in their New Mexico home on Wednesday.
