S. Korea's producer prices for January rise for third consecutive month

Producer prices rose for the third month in a row in January driven by higher oil prices.

According to the Bank of Korea the producer price index stood at 1-hundred-20-point-1-8 last month up 0-point-6 percent on month.

This latest hike is the highest in 17 months.

Manufactured items including petroleum products and agricultural goods have been keeping the index high.
