[Weather] Cold spell across the country, heavy snow on the west coast

There is a strong cold spell all over the country. Cold wave warnings and advisories are in effect in most parts of the country with freezing conditions. The coldest place this morning was Mountain Seorak, where temperatures plummeted to nearly minus 23 degrees Celsius. This cold spell will be seen tomorrow as well.

As the heavy snow warnings continue to expand, snow will become thicker on the west cost of Chungcheongnam-do Province. Heavy snow of as much as 40 centimeters will fall in the mountainous areas of Jeju Island, and more than 30 centimeters in Jeollabuk-do Province by Thursday.

Tomorrow morning, Seoul will be as cold as today, dropping to minus 12 degrees, Daegu and Gyeongju at minus 9 degrees.

Seoul will move up to minus 5 degrees, and Gwangju will move up to minus 1 degree.
