Trump withdraws U.S. from Paris Climate Agreement; declares national emergency at U.S.-Mexico border

And as soon as he returned to power, Trump signed an executive order beginning the process of pulling the U.S. out of the Paris Climate Agreement.

This is his second time to have done so, as he exited it in his first term in 2017, only for then-President Biden to rejoin the agreement in 2021.

Trump also declared a national emergency at the U.S.-Mexico border.

In his inaugural address, Trump said he will send troops to the southern border, detain all illegal immigrants, and re-introduce a 'Remain in Mexico' policy. that requires migrants wait for their asylum proceedings on the Mexican side of the border.
